KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 18
Laxmi Bank Ltd. expanded its footprint with the inauguration of its 11th extension counter at Jhulneta of Tribeni-3 Rural Municipality in Rukum West.
With the addition of this extension counter, the Laxmi Bank network now comprises 141 branches, 11 extension counters, 5 hospital counters, 172 ATMs, 2,500 money transfer agents and 63 branchless banking agents spread across 50 districts of the country.
The bank is expanding rapidly into new underserved markets with the aim of providing quality services to meet the growing demand for professional financial services such as innovative savings accounts, time deposits, home and auto loans, small business loans, microfinance, etc.
The Bank is actively promoting digital channels such as internet and mobile banking to complement the growing number of branches as part of the “bricks and clicks” strategy allowing customers to reach us through the channel of their choice: branches , ATMs, internet and mobile phones.
The Bank, established in 2002, closed the previous financial year 2020/21 with a balance sheet size of Rs 152 billion which comprises deposits and risk assets of Rs 117 billion and Rs 108 billion respectively. All of the Bank’s key financial indicators are well below prudential and regulatory standards.
